What I Want to Be When I Grow Up (Part 1)

I drew this picture because there was a contest at my school. They asked me to draw what I want to be when I grow up. When I grow up I want to be a stay-at-home mom dog breeder. I won't start breeding dogs until all my children are five.

In this drawing, I drew lots of pictures of hills in the background. I'm in the field playing ball with a Rottweiler/Husky puppy. The dad Rottweiler is checking on his puppy. One of the other puppies is playing on a ball. In the lower cage, a puppy is sleeping in his bed. Also a puppy is eating from the food bowl. In both cages I drew a pile of balls.

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY SWEET FRIEND!!!
Wow, Miranda! This is an awesome blog page! I like your spotlight on different breeds. I also like your picture in this blog - you really think about all the important details, especially waiting until your children are 5 before starting dog breeding. Your thoughts show that your family will always be your top priority, no matter how much you love dogs. This just proves what I already know - you will be an awesome Mom AND be totally successful in your career. In other words, you will be alot like your own mom, and I think that is a great way to be!

you are so wonderful! I love that you have your own blog dedicated to your love for dogs. It's very, very cool and sweet! You know your stuff.

I also just wanted to wish you a happy (late) birthday. I am so impressed at the wonderful lady you are growing into and I feel so blessed to be able to document your sweet spirit in pictures each year.

keep reaching for your dreams - they are closer than you think.

    big kiss,

    kathleen

  6. Hey Miranda, you've thought about important details to make your plan happen. I have a dog we call Fernando. I wrote about him here: http://bonnietonitawhite.blogspot.com/2009/11/why-i-might-want-to-kill-my-dog.html
I wouldn't actually kill him - he is way too much a part of our family. Have you ever read the book Julie and The Wolves? I think you might enjoy her experience and it will give you some important information about canines.

  7. Miranda! What a cute blog! Do you know what? The next time you come to Utah you will have to come visit us because we got a mini sheltie, a smaller version of the Collie that you like. She's great, a little bit wild because she's only 7 months old and we've only had her for 2 months. I hope you're doing well and I loved your picture too!

  8. Wow, I love the picture, Miranda. I'm glad you get to visit Sophie. You'll be a great dog breeder. I like that you're waiting until all your kids are 5. Children are like puppies and need a lot of attention and love.
